Background:

Sevasadan Community Development Foundation, in commemoration of Teacher's Day, initiated an adult literacy program in villages. This program, aiming to empower women through education, commenced on September 5th.

Inauguration and Praise:

The program was inaugurated in Sangliwadi, where Mrs. Sangita Ghatge, Principal of Jeevan Vikas Shikshan Mandir Sangliwadi, and former corporator Dilip Bhau Patil praised the initiative. They acknowledged the importance of women learning to read and write and expressed their support for the cause.

Encouragement and Good Wishes:

Participants in the adult literacy program were encouraged and wished well for their educational journey. Mrs. Sangita Ghatge and Dilip Bhau Patil extended their support by providing essential learning materials, including pencils and manuscripts. Additionally, they offered good luck wishes through the gesture of presenting rose flowers.

Participation Across Villages:

The program extended its reach to multiple villages, including Sangliwadi, Kavalapur, Kumthe, Manjarde, Nandra, Dhavali, Mysal, Narwad, Kaikadwasti, and Malgaon. A total of 100 women participated across these villages, emphasizing the widespread impact of the initiative.

Program Duration and Curriculum:

The adult education program spans three months, providing a structured curriculum. Participants are guided through essential skills such as reading, writing, counting, interpreting street signs, and basic sign language.

Guidance by Education Experts:

Mr. Balasaheb Limbikai, Principal of Samarth Primary School Bedg, provided valuable guidance during the program. Meenakshi Koli from Sevasadan Foundation and former Police Patil Mahabaleshwar Chowgule were present to support and facilitate the event.

Empowering Women Through Education:

This initiative reflects the foundation's commitment to empowering women through education, addressing the need for literacy and foundational skills. By spreading across various villages, the program seeks to make a significant impact on the lives of women in the community.

The collaboration between educational institutions, local leaders, and community organizations underscores the collective effort in addressing the educational needs of women and promoting adult literacy.
